• In association with the Yorkshire PGA, Flaxby Golf Club are pleased to announce the Pro-AM 2011 18 hole tournament will take place on the 26th July 2012. Teams should consist of 1 Professional and 3 Amateurs; mens, ladies, juniors or mixed teams are welcome.

• - 18 hole tournament
  - Teams consist of 1 Pro and 3 Amateurs
  - Men's, Ladies, Juniors or mixed
  - Best 2 scores out of 4 to count-strokeplay
  - Prizes for the first 6 teams
  - Nearest pin and long drive
  - £210.00 per team
  - Provide your own Pro or he PGA will supply one for you

  • Hello, welcome to the September edition of the Flaxby Driving Range email Newsletter, our way of keeping in touch with the latest offers, golfing tips and a monthly prize draw. This month we have details of our autumn/ winter lesson packages which include tuition, range balls and use of all the driving range facilities, dates for our new junior coaching sessions, a simple but effective tip on alignment and a prize draw for a 45 minute bunker lesson.   • Tip of the Month

  • Struggling with your alignment? Draw an imaginary line from your intended target to your golf ball then pick out something on the ground up to 2ft in front of the ball. First, aim your clubhead at this point then align your toes parallel to your target and you're ready to go. Try the same on the putting green but go one further and align the logo of your golf ball in the direction you want the ball to start on. Straight forward stuff but an area that is often overlooked.
